چکیده
ABSTRACT The oil of Caryocar villosum is used in Amazonian folk medicine to treat pain and inflammatory conditions. So, we assessed the anti-inflammatory antinociceptive properties ethanolic extract obtained from fruit peels this species. acetic acid-induced writhing, carrageenan-induced mechanical hyperalgesia, formalin, paw edema peritonitis tests were on mice. C. significantly inhibited number abdominal writhes, hyperalgesia licking time second phase formalin test. At a dose 300 mg kg-1, also reduced volume formed late recruitment leukocytes neutrophils peritoneal cavity, as well CXCL1 chemokine levels. It suggested that attenuates leukocyte by inhibiting activation. peripheral activity occured through opioid pathway modulation because pretreatment with reversed naltrexone-induced antinociception.

Naringin attenuates diabetic retinopathy by inhibiting inflammation, oxidative stress and NF-κB activation in vivo and in vitro
Objective(s): Naringin, an essential flavonoid, inhibits inflammatory response and oxidative stress in diabetes. However, whether naringin has beneficial effects on diabetic retinopathy (DR) remains unknown. Materials and Methods: Streptozotocin (STZ, 65 mg/kg) was intraperitoneally injected into male rats (8 weeks old weighting 200-250 g) to establish diabetic model, then naringin (20, 40 or 8...
متن کاملVenlafaxine Attenuates Heat Hyperalgesia Independent of Adenosine or Opioid System in a Rat Model of Peripheral Neuropathy
Primarily opioidergic and adenosine mechanisms are considered to be involved in the antinociceptive effects of antidepressants. This study was designed to determine the efficacy of acute venlafaxine administration in alleviating symptoms of neuropathic pain and the role of endogenous adenosine and opioid systems in this effect of venlafaxine. We have evaluated the effect of caffeine, a non-sele...

متن کاملResveratrol attenuates inflammatory hyperalgesia by inhibiting glial activation in mice spinal cords.
The present study aimed to investigate the effect of resveratrol on inflammatory pain. Mice were injected intraperitoneally with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) for 5 consecutive days to induce subacute systemic inflammation. Acetic acid‑induced writhing tests and tail‑flick tests were performed following the final LPS injection. Glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP; an astrocyte‑specific activation ...
متن کاملNeonatal capsaicin treatment attenuates spinal Fos activation and dynorphin gene expression following peripheral tissue inflammation and hyperalgesia.
An animal model of nociception involving unilateral hindpaw inflammation has been used to examine behavioral, molecular, and biochemical aspects of well-characterized spinal cord neural circuits involved in pain transmission. The neurotoxin capsaicin administered neonatally was used to modify this neuronal system by producing a selective destruction of most small, unmyelinated primary afferent ...
